#I finalisti del Bird Photographer of the Year Awards 2021

Sono stati recentemente annunciati i finalisti dell’edizione 2021 dei Bird Photographer of the Year Awards. Da uno scontro tra un’enorme aquila e una volpe a un adorabile anatroccolo soffice che esplora il suo stagno, la galleria di quest’anno è una raccolta di momenti magici nel regno animale.

Il concorso fotografico naturalistico Bird Photographer of the Year ha visto un’incredibile partecipazione nell’edizione 2021 con ben 22.000 incredibili immagini ricevute da tutto il mondo con fotografi provenienti da 73 paesi. Secondo Will Nicholls, direttore del concorso,

“Lo standard della fotografia è stato incredibilmente alto e la diversità nelle diverse specie era fantastica da vedere”.

Le immagini vincitrici saranno annunciate nel settembre 2021. Oltre al titolo di Bird Photographer of the Year, il fotografo vincitore porterà a casa un premio denaro di 5.000 sterline. I finalisti, e altre immagini scelte del concorso di quest’anno, saranno incluse anche in un libro d’arte disponibile sul sito web di BPOTY.

I talentuosi finalisti includono il fotografo James Wilcox, che ha catturato un amorevole quadretto famigliare di una giovane beccaccia di mare americana e i suo genitori mentre si nutrono di crostacei aprendone il carapace con il becco. Mentre altre interazioni fra i soggetti piumati sono molto meno affettuose. Lo scatto di Fahad Alenezi di un’aquila di mare dalla coda bianca che difende la sua preda da una volpe è un momento drammatico e bellissimo simbolo di una catena alimentare competitiva. Il potere e la grazia sono in piena mostra, anche nella splendida immagine di Li Ying Lou di una gru dalla corona rossa che balla con i suoi compagni nella neve.
